Hull: The Benefits Roll On!

It was around this time last year, (November 8th to be exact) we last published a blog about Hull being on the way up.

City of Culture 2017, Hull, was described by Arts Council England as a “rip roaring success” with more than 5 million people visiting Hull in 2017, watching 2800 cultural events.

The council estimates that £1bn of investment has gone into the city since it won the bid, helping to create 800 new jobs.

More than 1 million people saw the Blade installation, 1 250ft rotor blade art work, and 800,000 people saw Paul Cummins’ Poppy installation.

Hull now wants to keep the momentum going and has established a new arts company, Absolutely Cultured. The company has received £1.25m from Arts Council England to fund its programme to 2021.

It seems 2017 was just the beginning for positive change, and it has certainly put Hull more firmly on the map from a property investment perspective.

We are seeing more and more residential property investors and buy to let investors coming to town, and wishing to buy good quality rental stock. We are able to help these investors buy the right properties as well as manage the properties on their behalf.
